Capstone Project Goals

Capstone Projects are the equivalent of a traditional master's thesis. They demonstrate mastery of the MSIE curriculum and involve the implementation of an innovative concept for the use of Internet technologies.

The MSIE faculty will evaluate the MSIE Capstone Projects based on how successfully, in the context of a chosen problem of significant scale, they:

• Make an appropriate choice of Internet engineering technologies to deploy;
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of those technologies; and
• Apply those technologies to the problem at hand. Consideration will be given to the scope and complexity of the deliverables.
